Factory Salda was founded in 1870 in the town of Honey in Northern Italy. The founders of the factory - Arcangelo of Besana, creative and enterprising man, and his wife Giovanna Saini. Giovanna, came from a family of Milanese antique dealers, possessed an innate taste and sense of style. Her parents designed the interiors of the famous European dynasties.

As consultants Giovanna has attracted to the company Salda outstanding decorators. Still in the family archives of Besana stored piles of folders with drawings and sketches, accumulated over decades. By the early 20th century Salda company has become a major supplier of furniture for aristocratic families of Europe.

Upholstered furniture and chairs are produced by classical technology with the use of durable elastic straps and springs, natural horse hair and duck feather.
