In the winter of 1992 Kris van Puyvelde and Frank Boschman met again. It takes place a few years after they met while studying at the faculty of engineering in Antwerp in Belgium. Both, has long wanted to start their own business, came up with the idea to import from Indonesia teak garden furniture. But it turned out that this furniture was of poor quality, a kind of colonial style. So the deal is only importing was not very profitable. But to improve the quality and design furniture, and later to open his own production line, was much more attractive and real idea. A few days later they were already sitting at the table of the notary. Royal Botania, the name they gave their company.
