The art Nouveau style
The end of the nineteenth century gave the world a completely new style, which has become incredibly popular – modern. It replaced the obsolete in every sense of the neo-Rococo and eclecticism, already did not satisfy all human demands. Needed something radically new, more functional and interesting.
If you understand the essence of phenomena, in particular such as no modern style there are several directions simultaneously similar and different in fact United in this concept. And the period of the birth of "pseudo-style" already rightly can be called the modern era.
Many countries have taken up new trends, interpreting them according to their own mentality, views of the beautiful and cultural values: as a result, in Italy there are the liberty style, in France art Nouveau, in Russia and the UK – modern, in Austria and Germany – secession and Jugendstil, United States – Tiffany, in Switzerland – "fir" style, etc.
The desire to combine comfort and functionality, comfort and convenience have been satisfied in full, and to this day modern is one of the most successful and most frequently used styles in the design of facilities. It is used for decorating entire houses, of flats, houses, villas, offices, restaurants, clubs, bars, etc., and to accent one room or only a small part of it.
The main materials for modern are common to each metal, wood, glass, plastic – anything supernatural or "incompatible with life". Maximum comfort and functionality (which, of course, can not but rejoice), which is created by professionals or by owners of premises independently, thanks to the accessories and furniture, for example, from Galimberti Nino, Medea or Pedini.
Artists, designers, architects, among whom were such famous figures as Otto Wagner, Josef Hoffmann, Serov, Alphonse Mucha, Vrubel, Vasnetsov, Georges Lemmen, Gustav Klimt, Henry van de Velde, most wanted to free themselves from the burden of the past, discard old practices and start with a clean slate. The abundance of floral patterns and accessories, aesthetic appeal and ease of production, naturalness and modernity in the forms and silhouettes – these are the features, which are very modern.
And one of the great gifts from the art Nouveau style became so familiar and comfortable furniture, without which a modern person, probably can not imagine your own house.
